JOB SUMMARY

This is a Complex Tax Distributor- Tax Law Specialist position in the General Tax Administration Refundsand Revenue Accounting Process Distributions Unit. The incumbent is responsible for assisting with sales tax distribution, reviewing financial requirements, and assisting in the development of accounting policies and procedures. Additionally, the incumbent supports the operational goals of the process by analyzing workflow, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending and implementing process enhancements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Currently employed with a State Personnel System agency or department.
  • Four years of professional accounting experience.
  • Four years of experience working within the System of Unified Taxation (SUNTAX).
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel.
SUBSTITUTIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major course of study in accounting, or area of business can substitute on a year for year basis for the required accounting experience.
PREFERENCES
  • An accounting degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience with FLAIR.
  • Experience with Florida PALM.
  • Current experience with distribution of taxes.
SALARY

The hiring salary for this position will generally not exceed $5,838.36 monthly/$70,060.32 annually.
