Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Complex Specimen Processor for Histology to manage inbound/outbound microbiology, histology, and cytology samples. You will track, accession, process, and prepare specimens for referral laboratories while ensuring accurate labeling and patient identification.

The role supports department goals in service, quality, and regulatory compliance, with emphasis on maintaining proper documentation and handling hazardous waste per protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience with handling and labeling specimens and ensuring proper patient identification.
• Familiarity with lab workflows and specimen processing steps.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality assurance in a clinical lab.

Responsibilities

• Track samples from receipt to testing, coordinating with couriers.
• Register and enter orders accurately in the LIS.
• Handle hazardous waste per plan and maintain documentation.
