The University of Chicago Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks full-time faculty in the Section of Complex Family Planning to provide complex abortion and gynecologic care at Hyde Park Campus and Ingalls Hospital.

Opportunities include teaching, supervision of trainees, scholarly activity, and participation in inpatient service, labor and delivery, and fellowship programs. Academic rank and compensation depend on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Medical doctorate or equivalent required.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Illinois.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Completed an ACGME-accredited residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Complex Family Planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex abortion care and gynecologic care at Hyde Park Campus and Ingalls Hospital.
• Teach and supervise trainees and students; contribute to scholarly activity.
• Attend inpatient gynecology service as needed and participate in labor and delivery coverage.

Job description

Description The University of Chicago's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking full-time faculty members at any rank to join our team in the Section of Complex Family Planning. Faculty will provide complex abortion care and gynecologic care at our Hyde Park Campus and Ingalls Hospital. There will also be opportunities to attend the inpatient gynecology service or work on labor and delivery. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications. Areas of expertise within the section include Complex Family Planning, including contraception, abortion, and early pregnancy management, as well as minimally invasive surgery and adolescent gynecology. The Section runs a Complex Family Planning fellowship, and OB/GYN residents rotate through Complex Family Planning. Faculty and trainees contribute to our research mission.
