AIG is seeking a Complex Director in Excess Claims to lead large, multi‑party property and casualty cases. You will oversee investigation, evaluation, and disposition, review coverage, direct litigation strategy, and present recommendations to senior management with an emphasis on fair, efficient outcomes.
This NY‑based role offers base salary ranges and bonus eligibility; 8+ years of claims experience, Property & Casualty licenses, and exceptional negotiation and litigation skills are required.

Are you interested in handling some of the largest and most complex Casualty claims in the industry? Your deep technical claims expertise will be put to the test in the investigation, evaluation and disposition of new and existing 3rd party property and casualty claims. These multimillion-dollar claims include multi-vehicle auto accidents, plant explosions, class action injury claims, catastrophic product liability claims. You will be required to review coverage under Excess Commercial General liability and auto policies, participate in the investigation of the claim and control litigation strategy. The adjuster will be required to direct the litigation, attend mediations and trials, assess liability and damages, and recommend reserves. It will be necessary for the adjuster to present the large value cases to senior management. The adjuster will need excellent customer service skills in communicating with insureds, brokers, attorneys, and claimants. Only the most highly skilled negotiators will succeed in resolving these claims in the toughest venues against the most elite plaintiff attorneys.
For positions based in New York, the base salary range is $112,000 - $140,000. For positions based in Jersey City, the base salary range is $112,000 - $140,000. For positions based in Boston, the base salary range is $112,000 - $140,000. For positions based in Chicago, the base salary range is $112,000 - $140,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
