Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. seeks an experienced technician to fabricate, install, assemble, and repair internal and external aircraft structures on VIP aircraft. The role requires precise rivet work and strict adherence to blueprints and engineering documents.

Key duties include reading blueprints, aligning parts with fixtures, and completing regulatory documentation per RSQM standards. A minimum of 6 years in corporate aviation completion is expected, with strong English communication and safety awareness.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; trade school attendance a plus.
  • 6 years of structures install experience preferably in corporate aviation completion.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine work steps and drill holes for riveting.
  • Rivet sheet metal and components using tagged tools.
  • Align parts using jigs, fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
  • Maintain safety, housekeeping, and proper use of equipment.
  • Ensure regulatory documentation per RSQM and quality standards.
  • Complete sign-offs and removal/installation sheets during tasks.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Fabricate, install, assemble, and repair both internal and external aircraft structures and surfaces on VIP aircraft.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Read, interpret, and understand blueprints and other documents to accurately determine the work steps to be performed including correctly sizing and drilling holes for riveting.
  2. Rivet sheet metal and component parts utilizing properly tagged and identified tools.
  3. Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
  4. Observes company rules and regulations including housekeeping, proper use of safety methods, and the safe operation of equipment.
  5. Ensure regulatory documentation is complied with and completed in a timely fashion in accordance with the Comlux RSQM and other quality standards.
  6. Complete all sign-offs and component removal/installation sheets at time the task is performed.
  7. Utilize all resources available to accurately perform the work steps in a safe and timely manner.
  8. Other duties as assigned not specifically stated herein.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC
  1. High school diploma or GED. Relevant trade school attendance is a plus.
  2. 6 years of structures install experience preferably in the corporate aviation completion environment.
  3. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  1. Strong ability to provide verbal and written communication.
  2. With guidance, able to read, interpret and understand blueprints.
  3. Must be self‑starting and motivated with the desire to learn.
  4. Ability to apply routine to complex mathematical problems to solve work issues.
  5. Ability to comprehend and retain OJT.
  6. Must possess a proficient mechanical aptitude.
  7. Ability to read measuring devices such as a scale or caliper or other required tools.
  8. Ability to use basic shop equipment (drill press, band saw, sander, etc).
  9. Ability to use basic hand tools (grinder, drill motor, wrenches, etc).
WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment described here is representative of those required by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.

The hangar where this position works is in an environment which may have exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues such as fluctuations in temperature. The employee in this position will experience occasional outdoor exposure to heat, cold, and environmental elements.
