Job summary

Highgate Courtyard Morgan Hill is seeking a Bartender responsible for setting up the bar, mixing drinks, and maintaining service quality for guests and servers. You will ensure cleanliness and liquor inventory control while delivering excellent guest experiences in a full-time role at our Morgan Hill location.

The position emphasizes friendly service, adherence to hotel standards, and knowledge of liquor laws. Flexibility for varied shifts and strong communication with staff are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in hotel or a related field preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and guests.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Set up the bar according to hotel standards and ensure guests are served promptly and efficiently.
• Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the hotel's mixing and presentation standards.
• Serve guests with all beverage requirements in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
• Break down bar after functions, storing liquor, supplies and equipment according to hotel standards.
• Follow all state liquor laws.
• Be familiar with all fire exit locations and fire extinguisher locations and know how to operate.
• Ensure the bar and service areas are kept clean and tidy during service
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
