Job summary

The role involves supervising tasks, planning workflows, and coordinating material movement while maintaining meticulous documentation. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in scaffolding construction, Competent Person Training, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • 3+ years in scaffolding construction.
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written).
  • Proof of Competent Person Training for scaffolds and fall protection systems.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30-hour courses preferred.
  • Valid in-state driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • No DUI or careless/reckless in past 5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and assist erection/dismantling crews for scaffolds safely per OSHA and company standards.
  • Act as the Competent Scaffold Erector on site and ensure fall protection systems are compliant.
  • Conduct safety planning, daily scaffold inspections and tagging maintenance.
  • Identify hazards and determine remediation steps.
  • Coordinate loading/unloading of equipment to job sites and trucks.
  • Plan workflow and assign tasks based on crew skill levels.
  • Document hours worked for inventory control and change orders.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Job Description

As the Scaffold Foreman, you will supervise and assist a crew through each scaffold's erection or dismantling process. Many essential tasks and responsibilities come with this position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervise and assist an erection crew with installing and dismantling supported scaffolds in a safe and orderly manner, per OSHA and company standards.
  • Essential functions as the "Competent Scaffold Erector" on the job site include:
  • Designs and inspects the fall protection systems for the scaffold erectors and ensures that they comply with OSHA regulations.
  • Carries out safety planning/job hazard analysis, daily inspection of scaffolds, and maintenance of scaffold tagging.
  • The ability to identify hazards and know how to resolve them.
  • Loading and unloading equipment to and from job sites onto trucks.
  • Planning workflow on the job and assigning tasks to personnel according to their skill level.
  • Document hours worked on inventory control and change orders.
  • Undertake other duties or special tasks as assigned by the Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in the construction of the scaffolding.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication in the English language.
  • Have proof of Competent Person Training for the construction and use of supported scaffolds and fall protection systems.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the OSHA 10 or the OSHA 30-hour courses for construction.
  • Must possess a valid in-state driver's license with a good driving record.
  • This includes no DUI or careless/reckless in the past 5 years.
Knowledge & Skills Needed
  • Show diligent attention to safety.
  • Physically able to lift 70 lbs.
  • Able to climb and work more than 50 feet above ground level.
  • Manage time efficiently and productively.
  • Possess supervisory and organizational skills.
  • Must be self-motivated with a desire to grow within the company.
Working Conditions
  • The employee will spend long periods out in the elements, whether hot or cold.
  • The employee will spend periods in the air 50 feet or higher.
