Summary of Job Classification: The Competency Court Coordinator oversees the administrative functions and procedural workflow of the competency court, competency diversion, and/or related competency programs. This role involves managing data entry, coordinating referrals, evaluations, and facilitating communication among stakeholders involved in competency court cases and those being diverted from the competency continuum. May supervise 1 or more full‑time employees.
Because this is a part‑time job consisting of 20 hours each week, the compensation will be equivalent to half of the full‑time salary that is advertised.
The entirety of the 11th Judicial District, encompassing Chaffee, Custer, Fremont, and Park counties, will be served by this role. Although the main working location could potentially be in any of the counties within the 11th Judicial District, the bulk of the responsibilities will be centered in Fremont County.

Supervisor Responsibilities: Work may require supervising and monitoring performance for a regular group of employees (1 or more full‑time employees) including providing input on hiring/disciplinary actions and work objectives/effectiveness, performance evaluations, and realigning work as needed. The work performed by majority of employees is complex.
Human Collaboration: Communications and discussions result in decisions regarding policy development and implementation. Interaction with others outside the organization requires exercising participative management skills that support team efforts and quality processes.

Fiscal Responsibility: Position has limited fiscal responsibility. May assist in the collection of data in support of recommendations for functional area budget allocations. May monitor division or program/promotional level budget and expenditures.
Education and Experience Equivalency: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public or court administration, or related field.
OR
Additional work experience in these or other related fields may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis for the required formal education.
Work Related Experience: Three years of experience in criminal justice, mental health, or related field.
Licenses and Certifications: None.
Physical Effort Requirements: Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.
Work Environment: Good-Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards.
Work Location: Office or similar indoor environment.
