The hybrid role is based in Lehi, Utah, requiring three in-office days per week. You will lead pay equity analyses, design salary bands, and collaborate with HR partners to support retention and growth.

  • Coordinate annual performance review and compensation cycles with stakeholders.
  • Design scalable programs that grow with company needs.
  • Create materials for the Compensation Committee summarizing strategy and metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with DOL, FLSA, and local wage regulations through audits.
  • Implement updates to optimize compensation processes and actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to integrate compensation with broader People programs.

Job description

About the role

The Compensation Manager at Collective Health owns the end-to-end strategy and execution of the company’s total rewards programs. This role is responsible for translating complex market data into actionable compensation frameworks that support business growth and talent objectives. You will design and implement compensation structures that align with strategic goals while ensuring competitiveness in the marketplace. A core part of this position involves advising executive leadership and HR partners on compensation philosophy and policy. You will lead initiatives to analyze and refine compensation programs to support retention and motivation. This position requires a high level of ownership over the full compensation lifecycle, from analysis to implementation. You will serve as a subject matter expert on compensation regulations and best practices across the organization.


This is a hybrid position based in Lehi, Utah. The role requires presence in the office for at least three weekdays each week. The successful candidate will report directly to the Vice President of Total Rewards & People Operations. You will work closely with the leadership team, HR Business Partners, the Recruiting team, and other People Leaders.


The base compensation for this role is $115,000. This package includes stock options and a comprehensive benefits suite featuring health insurance, 401k contributions, and paid time off. The final offer may vary based on location, individual qualifications, and internal equity considerations.


What you'll do


  • Conduct comprehensive compensation analyses to inform strategic decisions and market positioning.

  • Develop and maintain compensation frameworks that align with business objectives and organizational values.

  • Provide expert guidance to leadership teams on total rewards strategy and program design.

  • Analyze market data to establish competitive salary bands and pay structures across job families.

  • Partner with the Recruiting team to review job descriptions and ensure offer competitiveness and compliance.

  • Lead annual pay equity analyses in coordination with external counsel to identify and address disparities.

  • Prepare detailed reports and materials required for compensation reviews and regulatory submissions.

  • Educate and support managers on compensation policies to ensure consistent and accurate application.

  • Coordinate the annual performance review and compensation cycle, managing timelines and stakeholder alignment.

  • Design scalable compensation programs that evolve with company growth and changing business needs.

  • Create clear and concise materials for the Compensation Committee, summarizing strategy, metrics, and recommendations.

  • Ensure all compensation practices comply with DOL, FLSA, and local wage regulations through regular audits.

  • Implement updates and corrective actions to maintain compliance and optimize compensation processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to integrate compensation initiatives with broader People programs.


Requirements

You must possess eight or more years of progressive compensation management experience in a professional setting. A proven track record in incentive design and implementation is essential for success in this role. You must demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing competing priorities. The capacity to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and service standards is required. Strong analytical skills are necessary to investigate data issues, identify root causes, and initiate corrective actions effectively. You must be able to translate complex data into clear insights that support decision-making for leadership. Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are necessary for engaging with executives and cross-functional teams. You will exercise exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail in all deliverables. The ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment is critical. A high level of confidentiality regarding employee data and sensitive information is mandatory at all times. Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets is required for data modeling, analysis, and reporting tasks.


Nice to have

Preferred candidates will have experience with compensation planning and analysis in the tech industry. Knowledge of compensation regulations and compliance specific to Utah is considered a plus. Experience with HRIS and compensation management tools is preferred to streamline processes and reporting.


Practical notes

This role operates on a hybrid schedule with a requirement to be present in the office for at least three weekdays each week. The position is based in Lehi, Utah. Travel is not required for this role. The start date is contingent upon successful completion of background checks and reference verification. Employment eligibility to work in the United States is required.
