Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience in compensation and benefits analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of FLSA, ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA.
  • HR certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Must reside in North Carolina (NC).
  • Ability to work minimum 40 hours per week, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support the company’s compensation and benefits programs.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis.
  • Evaluate job descriptions and classifications for appropriate compensation levels.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local compensation and benefits regulations.
  • Prepare compensation reports, dashboards, metrics, and benefits utilization reports.
  • Ensure accuracy of benefits enrollments and payroll deductions.
  • Reconcile benefit invoices against payroll deductions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist employees with compensation, benefits, enrollment, claims, plan changes, and qualified life events.
  • Process and administer FMLA, ADA, disability, and other leave requests.
  • Support open enrollment system configuration, testing, and validation.
  • Serve as primary contact for workers’ compensation claims and coordinate with insurers and occupational health facilities.
  • Lead the company Safety Committee and participate in the Risk Management program.
  • Administer the tuition reimbursement program and perform annual 401K compliance testing and audit.
  • Serve as primary HR support contact for one company and manage routine HR functions.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and HRIS teams.
  • Participate in committees, councils, community outreach, and safety initiatives

Requirements

  • Familiarity with compensation surveys, job evaluation methods, and benefits administration
  • Knowledge of FLSA, ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA
  • Human Resources certification preferred
