Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Compensation Analyst to manage compensation data within the HRIS, conduct audits, and deliver market-based insights for leadership.

The role partners with HR Business Partners to set salary ranges, ensures regulatory compliance, and produces reports and presentations on compensation trends for management review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2+ years of compensation administration or related HR experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience with HR information systems (HRIS).
• Strong analytical skills and data interpretation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to compensation.
• Ability to travel 0–5% of the time to job site(s)/office location.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee compensation data in the HRIS.
• Conduct regular data audits to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare reports on compensation trends for management review.
• Conduct salary surveys and benchmark industry compensation.
• Analyze market data to identify salary gaps and adjustments.
• Prepare market insights presentations for leadership.
• Process salary changes, including merit increases, promotions, and performance-based adjustments.
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners to determine salary ranges for new positions.
• Calculate and administer cost-of-living and other salary adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
• Monitor and update compensation practices as regulations change.
• Assist with job evaluations, job grading, and salary positioning.
• Review and update job descriptions.
• Generate reports on compensation metrics, including average salary, salary distribution, and pay equity.
• Analyze compensation data to identify trends and recommend adjustments.
• Support employees and managers with compensation-related inquiries.
• Collaborate with HR team members to integrate compensation practices with other HR functions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience with HR information systems (HRIS)
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to compensation
• Ability to travel 0–5% of the time to job site(s)/office location
• Ability to perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers
• Ability to remain stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
