- Maintain and update employee compensation data in the HR information system (HRIS)
- Conduct regular data audits to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare reports on compensation trends and analysis for management review
- Conduct salary surveys and research industry compensation benchmarks
- Analyze market data to identify salary gaps and recommend adjustments
- Prepare presentations summarizing market insights for leadership
- Process salary changes, including merit increases, promotions, and performance‑based adjustments
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners to determine salary ranges for new positions
- Calculate and administer cost‑of‑living and other salary adjustments
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations
- Monitor and update compensation practices as regulations change
- Assist with job evaluations, job grading, and salary positioning
- Review and update job descriptions
- Generate reports on compensation metrics, including average salary, salary distribution, and pay equity
- Analyze compensation data to identify trends and recommend adjustments
- Support employees and managers with compensation‑related inquiries
- Collaborate with HR team members to integrate compensation practices with other HR functions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in compensation administration or related HR role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Experience with HR information systems (HRIS)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to compensation
- Ability to travel 0–5% of the time to job site(s)/office location
- Ability to perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Ability to remain stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to perform light work, including adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds
