Job summary

Modivcare is seeking a Wheelchair Driver in Waldo County, ME to transport passengers to medical facilities and homes within a defined radius. You will operate a company vehicle, perform safety checks, and maintain a clean, well‑documented ride experience for every passenger.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to navigate routes using maps or GPS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Zero (0) plus years of experience.
• Valid driver's license for the appropriate vehicle type.
• Clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations or accidents.
• In-depth knowledge of navigating the local area to utilize the safest and most efficient routes possible.
• Excellent driving skills and the ability to handle various road and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transports passengers to and from medical facilities and/or home in a timely and safe manner.
• Operates vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, following all traffic laws and regulations.
• Regularly inspects vehicle for maintenance needs and keeps it clean at all times.
• Completes mechanical checklist at the start of each shift and reports any mechanical problems to management.
• Completes and enters daily trip sheets for each transport.
• Provides excellent customer service and maintains professionalism with all passengers.
