Noble West Animal Hospital in Noblesville, IN is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians, monitor hospitalized patients, manage lab work, and assist with surgical procedures. Open to credentialed technicians with prior surgery and anesthesia monitoring experience; schedule around 34 hours/week, including 8am-4pm shifts and one 8am-2pm shift.

Qualifications

• Weekend availability required.
• Previous veterinary experience required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds; lift with assistance beyond 25 pounds.
• Practice OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE.
• Basic math for calculating medication dosages.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office applications.
• Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety.

Responsabilités

• Assist veterinarians in veterinary medicine and surgery.
• Take histories, vital signs, and weights during outpatient exams and educate clients.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs during procedures.
• Obtain and process samples; conduct in-house lab work and prepare specimens for outside labs.
• Take, develop, and maintain radiographs following safety procedures.
• Handle and restrain animals during exams; administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Maintain clean and organized exam rooms, labs, and treatment areas; restock supplies.
• Communicate with clients and team members to ensure patient plans and concerns are addressed.
