Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital – Falls Pointe Raleigh is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our hospital team, supporting veterinarians and technicians in delivering quality pet care. You will contribute to a smooth patient flow and assist with procedures while educating clients about preventive care.

You will use NAVTA-guided skills and collaborate with the team, mentoring others as needed, in a busy, pet-focused environment. This role offers hands-on learning and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to perform required NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program skills.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and vet technicians to ensure safe, quality care.
• Maintain patient flow and assist with procedures.
• Communicate with veterinarians and vet techs to coordinate care.
• Perform tasks or set up procedures that do not require vet or tech assistance.
• Educate clients about preventive care and Optimum Wellness Plans.
