Job summary

PetVet Care Centers’ Oak Glen Animal Hospital in Yucaipa, California seeks a full-time Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians. Duties include clean/maintain equipment, assist with exams and treatments, and manage patient records with a focus on compassionate care.

The role requires a high school diploma and prior veterinary experience; AVImark software experience is preferred. 8:00 AM–5:30 PM with some Saturdays; sign-on bonus up to $500 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18+ and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous veterinary experience is required and relevant clinical skills are expected.
• Proficiency with catheter placement, blood draws, vaccines and anesthesia monitoring is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients and greet clients warmly.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments and medication administration.
• Prepare and sanitize surgery suites and maintain hospital equipment.
• Record medical information accurately and ensure client education on care and plans.
• Maintain cleanliness of hospital facilities and assist with administrative tasks.
