PetVet Care Centers' Rivergate Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team in New York, NY. You will support veterinarians and technicians by performing daily tasks, maintaining equipment, and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Veterinary Technician Assistant experience or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients and greet clients in a welcoming manner.
• Take patient weights and vital signs upon arrival and guide them to examining rooms.
• Assist veterinarians and licensed technicians with treatments and medications.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients and assist with restraints as directed.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and take radiographs as needed.
• Operate and maintain hospital equipment (EKG, scales, anesthesia monitors, etc.).
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of medications and controlled substances.
• Complete daily cleaning duties to keep the hospital sanitary and safe.
