Job summary

Mission Pet Health is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join Indian Ridge Animal Hospital in Kingsport, TN. You will support daily patient care, assist veterinarians and technicians, and help maintain a high standard of care in a busy practice.

Working within a collaborative team, you’ll have access to ongoing training funds, AVMA-accredited programs, and mentorship to advance your clinical skills while contributing to excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Calm, efficient approach for fast-paced environment.
• Confidence handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Fundamental veterinary skills from lab, pharmacy, nursing, radiology are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential patient care and assist the medical team with hands-on tasks.
• Be the go-to support for the medical team, ensuring smooth workflow.
• Create a positive client experience with scheduling, payments, and communications.
