New Hope Animal Hospital in Dallas, Georgia, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in daily tasks such as cleaning, feeding, restraining patients, preparing surgery suites, and handling clerical work. Qualifications

• Experience in small animal care required.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients
• Greet patients and owners, take weight and vital signs upon arrival
• Triage patients, assist with exams, and administer medications as directed by licensed staff
• Calm and soothe anxious patients
• Assist doctors and technicians with medication administration and patient restraint
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs
• Operate and maintain hospital equipment and records
• Maintain cleanliness of hospital and kennels, including sanitizing rooms and surfaces
