Thrive Pet Healthcare in Canyon Lake, TX seeks a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in patient care. You will assist with handling, restraint, basic care, and procedures while helping pets stay calm and comfortable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Veterinary experience or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with clients and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Support safe, compassionate patient care with veterinarians and technicians.
• Assist with patient handling, restraint, basic care and procedures.
• Monitor patients and report changes to the medical team.
• Prepare, clean, disinfect, stock, and maintain exam rooms and spaces.
• Support basic lab tasks and routine patient-care duties.
• Communicate professionally with clients in person and by phone.
• Help maintain medical supply inventory and notify when low.
• Contribute to a clean, organized hospital environment and assist teammates.
