Nona Village Veterinary Hospital seeks a compassionate Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our growing team. The role focuses on assisting veterinarians with surgeries, coordinating animal care, and monitoring recovery while delivering exceptional patient care in a welcoming clinic environment.

You will work closely with the entire staff to ensure animal health, educate clients on treatments and medications, and maintain accurate records in our hospital system.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of animal care and handling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, positive, dependable, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Triage pets as they arrive at the clinic.
• Interview pet owners to obtain a patient history.
• Take vital signs and assist with vaccinations, lab tests, and diagnostic procedures.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Assist with surgeries and monitor animals post-operation.
• Educate clients about medications, treatments and home care.
