Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a dedicated driver for transfers and related responsibilities in Carson City, NV. You will safely operate company vehicles, follow chain-of-custody procedures, and interact with families with empathy during delicate transfers.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, at least one year of courier/driver experience, ability to lift heavy items, and availability for weekend or night shifts. Local travel and occasional outdoor work are involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Minimum 1 year work experience as a courier/driver with direct customer interaction preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally; push/pull up to 200 pounds.
• Willingness to work weekends, nights and holidays rotation.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives company owned professional vehicles to perform “first call” transfer of deceased in accordance with laws and company policies.
• Cooperates with first responders, Coroner, hospital staff, or Senior Living facility and accommodates their procedures.
• Interacts with bereaved family members for home transfers with sensitivity and professionalism; follows procedures for soiled items.
• Enters deceased event information into proprietary software as required.
