Job summary

Care Village at Parkway seeks a dedicated Activities Assistant to support residents through individual and group therapeutic recreation sessions. You will assist with assessments, adapt activities to residents' abilities, provide resources and emotional support, and help maintain safety and confidentiality in a caring, home-like environment.

You'll work with the supervisor, participate in team meetings, and encourage resident involvement in recreation opportunities while upholding residents'

Qualifications

• Must read/write/speak English; must understand English.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm to support residents.
• Ability to plan and lead TR sessions and assess residents with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Works with supervisor to complete assessments.
• Implements 1:1 and group TR activities with residents.
• Adapts TR activities to meet residents' needs.
• Provides TR resources, supplies, and equipment.
• Provides emotional support to residents and families.
• Ensures resident safety during TR sessions and follows health policies.
• Participates in team meetings and communicates observations.
• Encourages resident involvement in recreation opportunities.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident information.
• Knowledge of residents' rights.
