Job summary

Oral Surgery Specialists of Oklahoma is seeking a Surgical Assistant to join our team. You will work with Surgeons and other Assistants to prepare patients for surgeries, guide families through procedures, and ready the sterile field and instruments.

The ideal candidate has the required state licensure, a compassionate disposition, and prior surgical experience. BLS, X-ray, and DAANCE certifications are expected or obtained after joining.

Qualifications

• Must have proper licensure within the state
• Compassionate and patient-focused demeanor
• Experience in a surgical setting preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• BLS certification required
• X-ray certification required
• DAANCE certification available after joining the company

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients to prepare for surgery
• Explain procedures to patients and families
• Prepare the surgical suite and necessary implements ahead of the procedure
• Assist surgeons during the surgical procedure
• Complete assigned tasks and documentation
