Job summary

Portsmouth Health and Rehab is seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Portsmouth, OH. You will provide personal care, assist with daily living activities, and support residents to maintain independence and comfort.

The role involves mobility assistance, help with meals, documentation, and collaboration with the care team to promote residents' well‑being and safety.

Qualifications

• Current STNA/CNA certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and move residents with assistance.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to residents, as needed.
• Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help with mobility and transferring residents.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Assist with mealtime and nutrition, including feeding and hydration.
• Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of resident care and activities.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
