Job summary

Del Valle Independent School District's Del Valle Middle School is seeking an Aide: Special Education - Structured Learning to support and implement instructional programs for students with disabilities.

Under the direction of a certified teacher, you reinforce lessons, assist with self-help and behavior management, and help with personal care needs, while maintaining confidentiality and collaborating with staff, parents, and students.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Educational Aide certificate required.
• NCLB Certification required.
• CPI certification to be obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing instructional programs for students with disabilities.
• Reinforce lessons, self-help, behavior management and personal care needs.
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom displays; orient substitutes.
• Maintain documentation related to personal care services and SHARS reimbursement.
• Support teachers in delivering objectives and tracking student progress.
