Job summary

Ascension in Indianapolis, IN, seeks a Transportation team member for a full-time day role. You will safely transport adult day center participants to appointments and community outings, assist with boarding, securing mobility devices, and provide a comfortable ride.

You will perform daily vehicle inspections, keep logs, adapt routes as needed, and uphold safety and customer service standards for participants and caregivers.

Qualifications

• Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• 1 or more of the following required: BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date; Heart Saver AED within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date.
• Chauffeur preferred.
• Drivers License specializing in Commercial preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport adult day center participants to and from the center, medical appointments, and community outings while maintaining reliable, on-time schedules.
• Provide hands-on assistance by helping participants safely enter and exit the vehicle, securing wheelchairs and mobility devices, and ensuring a comfortable, compassionate ride.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness, safety, and accurate transportation logs while promptly reporting maintenance needs or incidents.
• Support the transportation team by adapting routes as needed, following all traffic laws and safety regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service to participants and caregivers.
