Job summary

Discovery Senior Living in Peoria, IL, is seeking a friendly Server to join our dining team and provide warm, attentive meal service to residents and guests.

You will take orders, serve meals, keep dining rooms clean, and assist with daily operations. Prior hospitality experience and a genuine desire to care for seniors are valued.

This role offers full-time or part-time hours, weekends required, and opportunities for growth within our caring community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in dining or hospitality is a plus.
• Enjoys working with seniors and delivering excellent service.
• Able to interact professionally with residents, guests, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Take meal and beverage orders and serve food in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
• Ensure residents and guests are satisfied with their meals and dining experience.
• Maintain knowledge of daily specials, menus, and food items to assist residents with selections.
• Set up, maintain, and clean dining room tables, side stations, and surrounding areas.
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Practice proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including completing assigned checklists.
• Support orientation and training of new servers as needed.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and hospitality.
• Assist with dining room organization, flow, and supply placement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
