Job summary

SilverRide is seeking compassionate independent contractor drivers to help older adults reach medical appointments, social outings, and other activities with door-through-door transportation. You will be responsible for safe, courteous service, meeting credentialing and background checks, and maintaining vehicle readiness.

Applicants must be 21+, have a clean driving record, pass background checks and tests, and be willing to accommodate riders with service animals.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid U.S. drivers license for at least 3 years with a clean record.
• Passing Federal Transit Authority and state drug/alcohol tests.
• Willingness to be fingerprinted and pass a background check.
• No felonies or charges involving violence.
• Not on the National Sex Offender Registry.
• Meet credentialing requirements related to senior care, ADA, safety.
• Passengers with service animals must be accommodated.
• Vehicle: 4-door sedan or low SUV 2014+ with 58 8 passenger seats including driver.
• Current vehicle registration and proof of insurance.
• Vehicle inspection as required by state.
• Vehicle clean with no smoke or drug odor.

Responsibilities

• Drive as an independent contractor for SilverRide.
• Assist passengers from home to vehicle and to destination.
• Help clients get to appointments, errands, social outings.
• Provide safe, compassionate transportation.
• Comply with credentialing and safety standards.
