Qualifications

• 2+ years of cook experience.
• English literacy (read/write/speak).
• Cook/dietary experience in a hospital, SNF, or medical facility preferred.
• Experience cooking large quantities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe culinary environment with infection control procedures.
• Keep kitchen and equipment clean and organized; maintain safe food temperatures.
• Wash dishes and store properly after meals.
• Follow menu to ensure nutritionally sound meals for residents.
• Assist in Health Department inspections if needed.
• Prepare nourishing meals and snacks using non-processed foods when possible.
• Report shortages or needs to Culinary Lead.
• Report broken equipment to Culinary Lead immediately.
• May work extra shifts or assist for special occasions.
