Job summary

Interim HealthCare Staffing is seeking a compassionate School Nurse (RN) to safeguard student health and support learning in elementary through high school settings.

You will administer care, manage medications, maintain health records, and develop care plans while educating students, staff, and families. A minimum of 1 year in pediatric/school health is preferred, with MO RN licensure and CPR on file.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license in MO.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric, school health, or community health nursing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and ability to work independently.
• Compassionate communicator who values collaboration with students, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to students for acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and school policies.
• Monitor and manage student health records to ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Develop and implement care plans for students with medical needs.
• Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics, including disease prevention, hygiene, and wellness.
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
• Collaborate with school staff and community health resources to support students' well-being.
