Job summary

Emerald Healthcare in Cozad, NE seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our nursing facility team. The RN provides direct patient care, administers medications, and coordinates with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes for residents.

The role requires an ADN or BSN, an active NE RN license, and BLS certification. ACLS is preferred. Expect collaboration with physicians and supervision of LPNs and CNAs in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in NE
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred but not required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; ACLS is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatment planning, and administering medications.
• Monitor and document patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
• Mentor and supervise nursing staff including LPNs and CNAs to ensure adherence to care protocols.
• Maintain compliant patient records and ensure infection control and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide clinical judgment in acute situations.
• Participate in weekend, night, and holiday on-call rotations
