Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient appropriately and accurately based on their medical condition.

• Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient including basic self-care activities.
• Formulate a teaching plan based on identified learning needs and involve family when appropriate.
• Demonstrates ability to utilize nursing knowledge to perform treatments and provide services.
• Communicates/collaborates with multidisciplinary team in providing patient care.
• Assists physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
• Addresses psychosocial needs of patients and families; coordinates with social services for hospital and post-discharge needs.
• Promotes cost-effective practices and non-wasteful usage of supplies.
• Prioritizes patient care effectively and efficiently.
• Promotes patient safety by reducing risk of harm.
• Commits to lifelong learning related to the nursing profession.
