Job summary

Elk Ridge Community Health in Arizona is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to support outpatient care, triage patients by phone or in person, and coordinate clinical workflows. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless patient flow and high-quality care.

The role requires an active Arizona RN license, an Associate degree in Nursing, current BLS, and a Level I fingerprint clearance card; three years of hands-on patient care in hospital or clinic

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited college.
• 3 years’ hands-on patient care experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Current Registered Nurse license in good standing from the Arizona Board of Nursing.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers.
• Level I fingerprint clearance card: current valid and in good standing or have applied for it within seven working days after beginning employment.

Responsibilities

• Triages patients by phone or in person, assessing symptoms and following established clinical protocols.
• Supports patient intake and flow, including rooming, collecting vital signs, and documenting in the EMR.
• Administer medications and vaccines as ordered and monitor patient responses.
• Prepares and collects lab specimens for in-house or external testing.
• Processes prescription refill requests according to protocol.
• Provides health education and guidance to patients and families based on individual care plans.
• Facilitates communication between patients and care teams using phone, portal, and EMR systems.
• Supervises and provide clinical guidance to support staff as needed.
• Assists in maintaining inventory, clinic supplies, and medication stock.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, hazardous waste handling, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborates with leadership to stay current on best practices and maintain readiness for Inspections.
