Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for PRN shifts at Mercy Crystal Lake Hospital & Medical Center in Illinois. The role requires an active IL RN license, ADN with BSN preferred, and a minimum of two years of nursing experience.

CPR/BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire. You will use the nursing process, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and administer medications in accordance with policies, standards, and state laws.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of practice (Illinois).
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team.
• Administers medications and treatments per policies and law.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care.
• Develops and executes a patient care plan per physician/orders.
• Participates in departmental performance improvement activities and shared governance.
• Mentors and precepts new staff and supports ongoing learning.
