Job summary

Sisters of St. Francis in Dubuque, IA, is seeking a 1st shift Nurse (LPN/RN) on a part-time schedule with every-other-weekend coverage.

You will provide holistic nursing care to Sisters, including assessments, medication administration, and collaboration with a close-knit care team in a peaceful, mission-driven environment. Ideal candidates hold an Iowa RN or LPN license and demonstrate compassionate, person-centered care, strong communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN or LPN license.
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care that supports the Sisters’ physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
• Complete assessments, monitor health changes, and respond promptly to urgent needs.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and Center guidelines.
• Offer leadership, guidance, and support to caregivers and med aides during your shift.
• Communicate clearly with Sisters’ families and interdisciplinary staff.
• Document all care accurately and thoroughly in accordance with policy and regulation.
• Participate in care planning and contribute to quality improvement.
• Assist Sisters in preparing for chapel, liturgy, and community activities.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and peaceful environment.
• Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality expectations.
