Qualifications

• Must hold a valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when required.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws/regulations.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Complete admission, transfer, and discharge paperwork and transcribe physician orders.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physician.
• Maintain communication and coordination with other departments to ensure quality care.
• Provide IV therapy and other professional nursing tasks as needed.
• Ensure confidentiality and privacy of resident information.
