Job summary

Liberty Senior Living is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care to residents. You will follow physician orders, supervise nursing assistants, and participate in rounds with physicians, ensuring timely treatments and meticulous documentation.

The role emphasizes infection control, ongoing training, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, patient-focused care in a geriatric setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse with diploma from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, valid license from North Carolina Board of Nursing and license renewal every other year.
• Commitment to quality nursing care and geriatric nursing.
• CPR certification renewed yearly.
• Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings.
• Ability to supervise nursing assistants and ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Dependable, flexible, and able to work with physicians, patients, families and staff.
• Ability to make decisions regarding nursing problems with patient safety in mind.
• Background checks/drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality nursing care by following physician orders, regulations, and facility policies.
• Administer medications as ordered by MD and per facility policies.
• Lead and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies.
• Assist physicians with rounds and participate in patient examinations.
• Care for patients during rounds and treatments as necessary.
• Perform scheduled treatments and document appropriately.
• Maintain infection control measures and standard precautions.
• Contribute to research related to nursing care quality as assigned.
• Assist with records, orders, and assessment of new admissions.
• Assist with scheduling annual physicals for patients with attending physicians.
