Job summary

Reading Hospital, part of Tower Health, seeks a qualified registered nurse for the Orthopedics/Trauma department. You will evaluate patients, plan and implement care, and document outcomes to support recovery and safety.

You will administer medications, perform tests, and teach patients and families to understand conditions and self‑care. Rely on your experience and judgment to meet goals in a busy adult and geriatric surgical unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• PA Registered Nurse Temporary Practice Permit or Registered Nurse License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
• Deliver excellent nursing care through evaluations, planning, implementation, and documentation while serving a diverse patient population with complex concerns.
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
• Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self‑care skills.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
