Qualifications

Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
Current CPR certification.
Experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Directs daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and CNAs.
Promotes holistic care following the nursing model.
Ensures policy compliance by nursing staff.
Participates in admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
Assesses changes in resident status and communicates with physicians and families.
Transcribes physician orders and carries them out as written.
