Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required for Cardiac Rehab.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, positive responses to the needs of patients, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop coordinated care plans.
• Regularly assess and record vital signs to monitor patient status.
• Gather and document patients' medical history, symptoms, and current health status.
• Systematically assess patients for care needs and changes in condition.
• Administer and record medications according to orders and protocols.
• Independently administer nursing care and apply appropriate techniques.
• Delegate care in line with MA Nurse Practice Act and hospital guidelines.
• Maintain accurate patient records and individualized nursing plans.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Educate patients about conditions, treatment options, and health maintenance.
• Respond to medical emergencies, provide first aid, and initiate interventions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Utilize and maintain medical equipment (monitors, pumps, ventilators).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and best practices.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships across departments.
• Demonstrate commitment to customer relations and quality improvement.
• Perform Charge Nurse duties as assigned.
• Stay current on nursing practice and licensure requirements.
• Apply growth mindset and evidence-based practice.
