Job summary

Lowry Hills Care and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for our skilled nursing facility. You will provide essential respiratory care, assess and manage residents with respiratory issues, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The role reports to the Director of Nursing and requires knowledge of modalities such as Acapella, Incentive Spirometry, EZPAP, and Chest Physiotherapy.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure required.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Possesses and maintains an active CRT or RRT credential.
• Current ACLS and BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory therapy treatments and interventions.
• Assesses patient pain interfering with function or participation in rehab.
• Performs infection control through sterilization procedures and proper equipment cleaning.
• Documents data in the patient medical record following pulmonary program activities.
• Operates and maintains respiratory therapy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Formulates care plans based on learning needs and involves family in teaching as appropriate.
• Oversees daily shift operation, assigns work, and coordinates with nurses, DON, Administrator and Physicians.

Education

Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure

AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy

Active CRT or RRT credential

ACLS and BLS Certification
