Job summary

Complete Care at Whispering Woods is seeking a Recreation Aide/Driver to transport residents safely to appointments and activities. You will assist residents in and out of the vehicle and maintain the vehicle's cleanliness, while communicating with nursing staff about schedules and needs.

The role emphasizes compassionate support, independence or teamwork, and opportunities for advancement. Per Diem schedule with the option for daily pay is available along with full-time benefits for eligible

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BA in Recreation/Psychology/CTRS preferred but not required.
• Experience in long term care and Recreation preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Experience driving a 15 passenger bus.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and maintenance.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Provide companionship and support to residents during transportation.
• Communicate effectively with nursing home staff regarding residents' schedules and needs.
• Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and incidents.
• Report vehicle maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, social activities, and other destinations.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.
