Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Psychiatric Nursing team on a 28-bed unit. The nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with mental health and/or substance use diagnoses, working with discharge planners, case managers, recreational therapists, and CNAs to promote positive outcomes and recovery.

A valid NC RN license (or Compact state) and BCLS are required, with 1 year of Med/Surg or Behavioral Services experience; BSN degree is preferred and

Qualifications

• Valid NC RN License or Compact State RN License required.
• 1 year of Med/Surg or Behavioral Services experience required.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) required. BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a 28-bed psychiatric unit with a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver patient care focused on mental health and substance use recovery.
• Collaborate with discharge planners, case managers, and physicians to support safe transitions.
