Job summary

PACS is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the Santa Rosa Post Acute facility in Santa Rosa, CA. This PRN/in-person role supports the Staff Occupational Therapist with resident care and documentation.

The COTA will complete treatments, maintain safety and infection control, and participate in care conferences while educating residents and families on home programs. Qualified candidates hold an associate degree in COTA, state licensure, and proficiency with Net Health

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Proficient with Net Health and Point Click Care software.
• Able to read and interpret policy and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with facility, governmental, and third-party payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Assist nursing with training of Restorative Aides and educate residents/families on goals and home programs.
• Communicate with supervising OT to update physicians, nursing staff, and families on progress and discharge planning.
