Qualifications

• One year experience as a cook in hotel, restaurant, hospital, or similar institution preferred.
• Food handlers’ card or Food Safety Certification as required by local ordinance.
• Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Must communicate tactfully with residents, family, staff, visitors, and the public.
• Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food following standard menus and recipes and production worksheets.
• Ensure proper storage of food and supplies and monitor temperatures.
• Supervise serving of meals and assist in cleaning work areas and equipment.
• Maintain sanitation and safety policies and procedures in daily tasks.
• Close the kitchen per policy and regulatory requirements.
