Job summary

United WestLabs, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our clinical team. Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, you will perform phlebotomy with professionalism, compassion, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will collect specimens, ensure accurate requisitions, maintain a clean draw station, and communicate test requirements to patients and staff. This role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and a patient‑centered approach in a fast-paced healthcare

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certificate and license if applicable.
• Ability to proficiently perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy professionally, competently and with compassion for the patient.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment and dispose of specimens per policy.
• Complete requisitions with correct patient, demographic, and test information.
• Review ABN requirements for Medicare patients and complete forms when needed.
• Ensure MSP forms are completed when necessary.
• Accurately collect all specimens needed for lab orders.
• Provide clear communication to clients and staff about test ordering.
• Keep draw station clean and stocked daily.
• Inform Supervisor of performance issues, concerns, and schedule.
• If located in a physician’s office, limit duties to specimen collection for UWL.
