LifeWorks Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Phlebotomist / Laboratory Technician to join our patient-focused clinical team. This role ensures accurate, timely laboratory testing and exceptional patient care.

We require phlebotomy certification with venipuncture experience, and a minimum of 2 years in healthcare or a laboratory setting. Proficiency in EMR, Word, and Excel is preferred. Full-time position in Florida with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification required with venipuncture experience.
• Minimum 2 years phlebotomy or clinical lab experience.
• Knowledge of basic medical and laboratory terminology.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily lab schedule to prevent testing delays.
• Collect and process blood, urine, stool, and saliva samples per protocols.
• Provide clear, supportive instructions to patients for at-home test kits.
• Verify patient lab orders and payments before testing.
• Package and ship specimens to designated laboratories per guidelines.
• Track all lab samples for timely delivery and analysis.
• Maintain accurate records in the EMR system.
• Monitor inventory to ensure test kits and supplies are stocked.
• Adhere to infection control standards and sterilization protocols.
• Report emergencies or concerning indicators to the Practitioner’s Assistant.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all policies and laws.
