Job summary

Talentify is seeking a phlebotomist in Pecos, Texas to draw and process specimens, label samples, and support a high-volume clinical laboratory. The role covers patient care across age groups, prioritizing comfort during venipuncture and precise specimen handling.

You will also handle clerical tasks, maintain supplies, and coordinate with the referral lab to ensure timely reporting of results. A high school diploma and phlebotomy certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred or registry eligible.
• One year medical lab experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Good communication and telephonic skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and follow physician test requests.
• Draw and process specimens promptly and label accurately.
• Provide care across neonate to geriatric patients based on life-span knowledge.
• Ensure patient comfort during venipuncture and proper specimen handling.
• Complete clerical duties and laboratory charges in a timely manner.
• Maintain inventory and assist in refilling supplies with the referral lab.
