Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Yavapai Regional Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venous and capillary collections, specimen processing, and related clerical duties in a fast-paced lab environment. The role emphasizes patient safety, accuracy, and turnaround times to support high-quality care.

The ideal candidate will hold a High School Diploma or GED and CPR/BLS certification within 90 days. Preference is given to those with acute care phlebotomy experience and relevant PHLEB

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• American Heart Association CPR (AHA-BLS) within 90 days preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients with care and courtesy, ensure accurate specimen processing.
• Perform venous and capillary punctures across all ages and obtain quality samples.
• Follow blood collection procedures and maintain appropriate volume requirements.
• Perform Blood Bank collections following written procedures.
• Keep phlebotomy trays, stations and storage areas orderly and clean.
• Assist with clerical duties as needed to support turnaround times.
