Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support clients in their daily living activities in Wetumpka, Alabama. You will assist with bathing, grooming, meal preparation, light housekeeping, mobility, and companionship, following each client’s plan of care.

Reliable, compassionate caregivers with good communication thrive here. This role requires CPR/First Aid certifications, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check; prior caregiving experience is preferred

Qualifications

• Previous Personal Care Assistant or caregiving experience is preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, respectful, and dependable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well-organized and able to follow instructions.
• Committed to client health and safety.
• Physically capable of performing required caregiving duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Prepare meals according to clients’ needs and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist clients with shopping and errands.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility and transfers when required.
• Follow each client’s plan of care and assigned task sheet.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition or behavior.
• Document services accurately and on time.
• Respond quickly and responsibly during emergencies.
• Protect clients’ privacy, dignity, and confidential information.
• Perform other authorized personal care duties as assigned.
